LRWA is a UK member organisation made up of the leading manufacturers for liquid applied waterproofing, approved contractors and related material suppliers in the United Kingdom. 

LRWA was originally founded in 1979, but the organisation has adopted modern day ideologies to reflect their flexible stance on innovation within business. Their current ethos lies in raising awareness for technical and financial advantages of specifying liquid-applied roofing and waterproofing systems, whilst ensuring that outstanding performance in installation standards is attained.

The members of the LRWA are a reflection of the business, they are committed to devoting an optimal practice/client satisfaction to the greatest extent possible.

Problem

Being a leading competitor in the roofing industry, LRWA had modernised their approach to innovation and business, however their internal systems lagged behind in meeting the diverse needs of their members. 

Specifically, membership management lacked the functionality to control tiered subscriptions effectively. This limitation meant that it was difficult to accommodate companies seeking LRWA’s flexible membership levels.

LRWA also required a way to collate information for their product register. The register would ideally exist as an online database, with the ability to search products and find useful information about them, for example the longevity of a roofing paint.

Solution

GAIN LINE was able to implement a comprehensive overhaul of LRWA’s systems to address their challenges by focusing on 3 primary areas:

1). Dynamic Membership System:

A new membership management platform was introduced which enabled companies to choose and purchase tiered membership levels that best suited their needs. This flexible approach catered to diverse member profiles within the roofing industry.

            2). Centralised Resource Hub:
A member-exclusive resource hub was developed, by way of a product register offering:

  • The ability to compare products and specifications through a comprehensive online product register.
  • Country-specific information to support members in different regions.

           3). Member Engagement

An events page was created to keep members informed about upcoming activities, such as industry socials, awards evenings, and charity challenges. This feature improved awareness and encouraged greater participation in LRWA-organized events.

Results

The implementation of these solutions transformed LRWA’s operations and member experience, the standout result from the project was:

  • Improved Membership Engagement: Companies could now select and manage their membership levels with ease, increasing satisfaction and membership uptake.

Through these advancements, LRWA not only addressed its operational challenges but also reinforced its position as a forward-thinking organization, committed to delivering value and fostering innovation within the liquid-applied waterproofing industry.
